​This course is designed to prepare new Family Medicine Chief Residents. It provides in-depth training as they begin their new responsibilities. New Chief Resident Leadership Training
​Individuals selected to be Chief Resident frequently possess a natural ability to function in this role, but they often receive little or no formal training. This New Chief Resident Leadership Training course increases their effectiveness by developing their management and leadership skills.
​
Instructor: The nationally renowned Patricia D. Williams, MD, is a human interaction and organization development consultant. She practiced Family Medicine and taught at the Maine-Dartmouth Family Practice Residency before training intensively at the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science. She teaches in several leadership programs, coaches, and consults rising and senior physician leaders.

Enrollment is limited to provide an engaging course experience.

Chiefs will need to complete approximately 30 minutes of pre-work to be admitted to the course.
Attendance is required at ALL sessions.
Attendees must not be on call during the 3 days of the course -- please arrange for coverage accordingly.
